The management of Zamfara State University (ZAMSU), Talata Mafara, has officially released the first batch provisional admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session. This update is for all UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who participated in the university’s recent post-UTME screening exercise.
Admission offers are currently being uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Candidates are advised to monitor their status and complete the necessary acceptance protocols to secure their slot.
How to Check Your ZAMSU Admission Status (2026 Guide)
In 2026, checking your admission status is handled primarily through the JAMB e-Facility portal. Follow these refined steps:
-
Visit the Portal: Go to the official JAMB e-Facility Portal.
-
Login: Enter your registered email address and password used during the 2026 UTME registration.
-
Check Admission Status: On your dashboard, scroll down and click on the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.
-
Access My CAPS: Select ‘2026’ as your examination year, enter your JAMB registration number, and click on ‘Access my CAPS’.
-
Verify Admission: Click on ‘Admission Status’ on the left sidebar to see if you have been offered provisional admission.
Understanding Your Status:
-
Congratulations…: You have been offered admission. Proceed to click ‘ACCEPT’.
-
Admission in Progress: Your admission is currently being processed. Check back within 48–72 hours.
-
Not Admitted: You have not been offered admission yet. Continue to monitor the portal as subsequent batches (2nd and 3rd lists) are released.
Crucial Warning: Do not click “REJECT” unless you are absolutely certain you do not want to attend ZAMSU, as this action is often irreversible and your slot will be immediately reassigned.
Mandatory O’Level Upload Requirement
For the 2026 session, the university has emphasized that candidates who have not uploaded their O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) to the JAMB portal will not be considered for admission. If your status remains “Not Admitted” despite having a high score, visit an accredited JAMB CBT Centre immediately to upload your results.
Next Steps for Admitted Students
Once you have accepted your admission on JAMB CAPS, follow these institutional registration steps:
-
Print Documents: Print your JAMB Admission Letter and Result Slip from the e-Facility portal.
-
University Portal Registration: Visit the ZAMSU Student Information System (SIS). Log in with your Admission Number to generate your Acceptance Fee Invoice.
-
Payment: Pay the non-refundable acceptance fee via Remita.
-
Physical Screening: Report to the University campus in Talata Mafara with original copies of your credentials (O’Level, Indigene Letter, Birth Certificate) for physical verification.
