-
Current Session: Admissions are typically ongoing for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Regular vs. Distance Learning: What’s the Difference?
Many students ask if a DLC degree is “lesser” than a regular degree. The answer is No.
| Feature | Regular (On-Campus) | UI Distance Learning (DLC) |
| Admission | JAMB + Post-UTME (Strict) | O’Level Entrance or Direct Entry (Liberal) |
| Lecturers | UI Main Campus Professors | The SAME UI Professors |
| Curriculum | Standard UI Curriculum | The SAME UI Curriculum |
| Certificate | University of Ibadan Degree | The SAME University of Ibadan Degree |
| NYSC | Full Mobilization | Mobilization or Exemption (Policy Dependent) |
The Real Difference: It’s all about the Mode of Learning. While regular students attend face-to-face classes, DLC students use an Open Distance E-Learning (ODeL) model. This means lectures are online and self-paced, but examinations are physical and held at designated CBT centers in Ibadan and Lagos.
