Prospective students are advised to check their status immediately on both the university portal and the national JAMB CAPS to begin their registration process.

Next Steps: Physical Clearance and NELFUND

1. Faculty Clearance

After paying your acceptance fee on the COOU portal, print your Acceptance Letter and report to your respective Faculty Office (Igbariam, Uli, or Awka campus) with your original credentials, JAMB Admission Letter, and O’Level results for physical verification.

2. Financial Aid (NELFUND Student Loan)

For the 2026 session, COOU students are eligible to apply for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

  • Loan Benefits: Admitted students can access zero-interest loans to cover 100% of their institutional charges and receive a monthly upkeep allowance.

  • How to Apply: Visit the NELFUND Student Portal to register using your JAMB Registration Number and NIN.

Important Deadlines

  • Acceptance Window: Candidates have exactly four (4) weeks from the date of admission to accept the offer on CAPS.

  • Registration: Late registration may result in an additional surcharge or forfeiture of the semester.

Congratulations to all the newly admitted “Odumegwu Ojukwu” Scholars!
