Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) is a state-owned institution of higher learning founded in 1979 and situated in Owo, Ondo State. The polytechnic was formerly called The Polytechnic, Owo. In 2010, the polytechnic was renamed Ondo State Polytechnic. Ondo State Polytechnic was renamed Rufus Giwa Polytechnic; after a renowned businessman who hailed from Ondo State.

Following a directive by the Federal Government of Nigeria that schools resume on the 18^th of January, Edo State Polytechnic was scheduled to resume on the said date.
