The management of Kaduna State University (KASU) has officially released the 1st Batch Merit Admission List for the 2026/2027 Academic Session. This applies to all candidates who participated in the 2026 Post-UTME screening exercise.

Successful candidates can now verify their provisional admission status through the JAMB CAPS portal or the KASU SAFApply portal.

How to Check Your KASU Admission Status (2026 Guide)

Checking your admission status in 2026 is strictly digital. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the JAMB Portal: Go to the official JAMB e-Facility Portal.

  2. Login: Enter your registered email address and password.

  3. Check Admission Status: Scroll down and click on the “Check Admission Status” tab.

  4. Access CAPS: Select “2026” as your examination year, enter your Registration Number, and click “Access my CAPS”.

  5. Verify Status: On the left sidebar, click “Admission Status”.

Important: If you have been offered admission, your photo will appear with a congratulatory message. You must click “ACCEPT” or “REJECT” to indicate your decision. Candidates have four (4) weeks to accept the offer on CAPS.

Mandatory Registration Steps for Admitted Students

For the 2026 session, KASU has digitized the entire registration flow. Physical presence is no longer required for the initial clearance.

  1. Acceptance Fee & KASU Letter: After accepting on CAPS, visit the KASU SAFApply Portal. Pay the non-refundable acceptance fee (approximately ₦30,000) to download your official KASU Admission Letter.

  2. O’Level Verification: You must purchase a verification token on the portal to verify your WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results. Admission is automatically revoked if results are found to be falsified.

  3. Financial Aid (NELFUND): As of 2026, KASU students are eligible for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). You can apply for zero-interest loans to cover your tuition and monthly upkeep once your registration is validated.

  4. Document Upload: Upload your JAMB Admission Letter, Updated JAMB Result Slip, and verified O’Level results to the KASU Student Portal.

Note to Candidates Not Yet Admitted

If your status shows “Admission Still in Progress” or “Not Admitted”, do not panic. Admissions are released in batches (Merit, Supplementary, and Final).

  • Crucial Action: Ensure your O’Level results have been properly uploaded to the JAMB portal. Candidates with missing O’Level uploads will not be considered for admission in 2026.
