Delta State Teachers Recruitment 2022

The Delta State Government, under its commitment to the MORE Agenda, is officially inviting applications from qualified indigenes and residents for the 2026/2027 Teacher Recruitment exercise. This year’s recruitment focuses heavily on filling gaps in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and Vocational subjects across the state’s technical colleges and secondary schools.

Key Recruitment Guidelines for 2026

1. Digital First Application

All applications must be submitted via the official Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau or the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MOBSE) Portal.

  • Click the ‘START APPLICATION’ button to begin.

  • Important: Your NIN (National Identification Number) is now a mandatory field for data validation with NIMC.

2. Bio-Data & Contact Accuracy

Ensure your Mobile Number and Email Address are functional. In 2026, the recruitment portal uses Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Your login credentials and interview schedule will be sent exclusively to these contact points.

3. Inclusivity (Special Needs)

In line with the Delta State People with Disability Law, applicants are encouraged to truthfully state any disabilities. The state government has committed to a 5% quota for qualified persons with disabilities (PWDs) to ensure an inclusive workforce.

4. Mandatory Document Uploads

Ensure you have clear, scanned PDF copies (not exceeding 500kb) of the following:

  • Academic Certificates: FSLC, WASSCE/SSCE, and Degree/NCE Certificates.

  • TRCN Certificate: For 2026, registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is mandatory for all professional teaching roles.

  • NYSC Documentation: Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion certificate.

  • Local Government Identification: A valid Certificate of Local Government of Origin.

  • Birth Certificate: Only those certified by the National Population Commission (NPC) are accepted.

5. Technical Tips for Success

  • Primary/Secondary Data: List only the institution where you obtained your final certificate.

  • Tertiary Education: You are required to state your First Degree/NCE qualification. If you have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), ensure it is uploaded in the “Professional Qualification” section.

  • Post Applied For: Ensure the subject you apply for matches your area of specialization on your degree. The 2026 system uses automated filtering; a mismatch will lead to instant disqualification.

6. Submission & Correction Window

Once you click ‘COMPLETE APPLICATION’, a summary page will appear.

  • The 14-Day Rule: You have exactly 336 hours (14 days) from the moment you start your application to make corrections.

  • Finality: Once the portal closes on the deadline, no further edits can be made. Unfinished applications are automatically purged from the system.
