ABSU students appeal for assistance, accuse a female lecturer, HOD of harassment.

by ajibolaaina February 22, 2022
written by ajibolaaina

According to reports, several students at the Abia State University have accused the Department of Public Health Head, Prof Ezinne Enwereji, of sexual harassment and intimidation on their campus. They made the complaint in a letter addressed to the school’s administration, according to the pupils.

As detailed in the letter, Enwereji and another professor, Lois Ndu Agumuo, had a bad practice of fondling students’ private parts during examinations in the hopes of finding sexual material.

Additionally, the students charged that the HOD had purposefully collaborated with Agumuo in order to fail them by a huge margin in her course, despite the fact that she had failed to lecture them when they were supposed to.

IAUE denies joining ongoing ASUU strike.

by ajibolaaina February 17, 2022
written by ajibolaaina

The attention of the Management of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni (IAUE) has been alerted to a bogus proclamation attributed to one Mr. Endurance Joseph that the University is on strike, which has been circulating on social media.

As a result, the Management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni is requesting that all staff, students, and members of the general public disregard the aforementioned notification, which is untrue.

The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni has never gone on strike in the history of the institution, and they are not currently on strike and have no plans to go on strike in the near future.

To be clear, the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni is not on strike at this time, and classes are currently being held as scheduled there. For the time being, there is also no ASUU executive, as the tenure of the so-called chairman has already expired.

Members of the public are thus urged to reject any proclamation made by Mr. Endurance Joseph or his accomplices regarding the strike at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni.

Consequently, faculty and students at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni are strongly encouraged to complete their classes.

Signed:

Dr. Ngozi Okiridu

Officer in Charge of Public Relations
