Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into the POST-HND to BTech Programme of the School of Science Laboratory Technology (SSLT), University of Port Harcourt for the 2021/2022 session.

1. OBJECTIVE

The aim of the programme is to provide quality University training platform for HND or Pass Degree or Third Class Degree graduates in Science, Engineering, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Agriculture and Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) and related fields to acquire a Bachelor of Technology [BTech] degree with NISLT Professional Certification.

The Programme leads to the award of Bachelor of Technology [B.TECH] Degree in any of the following Science Laboratory Technology options:

2.  ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must possess the following requirements in order to qualify for admission into the Programme.

(i). A minimum of Pass in Final Diploma (FD) NISLT or Lower Credit in Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Pass Degree or Third Class Degree in Science, Engineering, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Agriculture and Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) and related fields from a recognized Monotechnic or Polytechnic or University.

(ii) Credit level passes at the O/Level in the GCE, SSCE, WASC, NECO, NABTEC, City and Guilds and its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics in not more than two sittings

3. DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The minimum duration of the Programme is two (2) academic calendar years. One calendar year consists of three (3) terms of evening and weekend classes.

4. METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application Forms are to be obtained from the Post-HND Office, SSLT Administrative Building, Opposite Uniport Water Bottling Plant, Beside Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Port Harcourt, on the payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand naira only (N10, 000.00) to SSLT Post-HND to B.Tech Degree Programme, School of Science Laboratory Technology, University of Port Harcourt through Remita.

2.  Click on miscellaneous & other payments
3.  Click on select service/purpose
4.  Click on the relevant item/centre/institute on the drop-down list to select SSLT Post-HND
5.  Click on amount to pay and type in the amount as applicable
6.  Fill the other information on the page (such as name, email, phone no., etc)
7.  Click on create payment. This will take you to the payment slip page
8.  Print the page or copy out the RRR number on the page and proceed to any Bank branch and make payment
9.  To make online payment, click on pay via Remita and follow the instructions on the page.

5. SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED FORMS

Completed Application Forms, Photocopies of All Credentials, Two recent (2) passport-sized photographs, Original copy of receipt of payment for the Application Form should be returned to:

This is to advise all finalists that the University Library’s clearing process begins today, Monday 21st February 2022.

Finalists are reminded to keep in mind the following timetable, which includes:

• – Submittal of clearance form: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (everyday)
• – Formal collection of clearance: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (everyday except Monday 21st)

Submission of clearance forms is slated to begin today, as scheduled, and collecting of clearance forms will begin on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022, according to the schedule.

It is important to note that the clearance procedure is estimated to last approximately two weeks.

The newly elected executive officials of Student Associations in Faculties, Departments, the Distance Learning Institute (DLI), the Sandwich Program, and the Halls of Residence will be sworn in at the University of Lagos on Wednesday, February 23.

The University College Hospital, Ibadan desires to express its disapproval of the supposed notification for admission into the School of Nursing in the academic year 2022/2023 that has been circulating on social media.

As a follow-up to the Academic Staff Union of Universities‘ one-month WARNING STRIKE

UNICAL‘s management has approved the suspension of the ongoing 2020/2021 first semester examination (GSS) until further notice.

The University will inform the new date of resumption and examination to concerned students in a timely manner.

This is to alert students of the University of Maiduguri that the results of the first-semester examination for the academic year 2020/2021 have been released by the university administration.

The results of the examination have been posted on the departmental notice board so that everyone may see them.

Students should proceed to the board to obtain a copy of their grade.

Following the initiation of the one-month warning strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the University Management has approved the suspension of all normal academic operations for the remainder of the academic year.

This is why it has been decided that all Year One students who are currently on campus will be required to evacuate their hostels and return to their individual homes. Because examinations will begin as soon as normal academic activities are resumed, students are recommended to take advantage of this chance to prepare for their examinations.

The University will notify the students who have been affected of the new date of resumption in a timely manner.

The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has approved the suspension of the ongoing first semester examination (GSS) for the academic year 2020/2021 until further notification.

The University will contact with the affected students as soon as possible about the new date for the start of classes and the beginning of examinations.
