Auchi Polytechnic is a federal government-managed and funded polytechnic situated in Auchi, Edo State. Founded in 1963, it is one of the first four polytechnics established in the country.

Auchi Polytechnic was initially established as a technical college, and the institution offered Ordinary Diploma level courses. These courses were limited to business and engineering.

The institution saw the need for skilled manpower in several disciplines and at a higher level. The Bendel State Government upgraded it to a polytechnic in 1973. The polytechnic was founded with the aim of training skilled manpower in several disciplines such as environmental studies, engineering, art and design, science, and business studies up to the Higher National Diploma (HND) level.
