Hi everyone! I’ve been receiving so many messages asking for a review of my experience at Amity Online. For those who are new here, I’m Simran, a second-semester MBA student. I’ve been enrolled for about 8 to 9 months now, and today I’m going to share a “crystal clear” review of the pros and cons, why you should (or shouldn’t) choose Amity, and the big question: Have I been placed yet?

Amity Online MBA Review
Overall Experience & The LMS (Amigo Portal)
My overall experience has been quite decent. Let’s talk about the Amigo Portal (the Learning Management System).
-
Initial Hurdles: At first, I found the Amigo Portal a bit difficult and overly technical.
-
The Learning Curve: As I started studying and exploring, I got used to it. I’ve even created easy tutorials on MbaKen to help new students navigate it.
-
AI Professor: One standout feature is the “AI Professor.” It functions very similarly to ChatGPT; you can interact with it to clear doubts and queries on the spot.

Lectures vs. Books
I’ll be honest: I have only watched one or two video lectures.
-
My Preference: I personally prefer studying from physical books rather than screens.
-
Quality: From what I saw, the lectures are good. They are available in English and a mix of Hindi and English (Hinglish), which is helpful for many students.
-
The Books: When I joined in June 2023, my books were delayed by about 20-25 days. However, Amity has improved this significantly. Currently, students usually receive their study kits within a week.
Flexibility and Assignments
Amity Online offers great flexibility, which is crucial for a UGC-DEB recognized degree.
-
No Attendance Criteria: There is no mandatory attendance, making it perfect for working professionals.
-
Academic Level: The course material and assignments are of “moderate” difficulty—not too easy, but not overwhelmingly tough.
The “Offline Touch” (A Major Highlight)
This is the main reason I chose Amity. Even though it is an online program, you get an offline experience:
-
Induction/Orientation: Held at the Amity Noida Campus. It’s a great opportunity to meet faculty and fellow students.
-
PCP (Personal Contact Programs): About 20-25 days before exams, you can visit the campus for face-to-face sessions.
-
Convocation: The degree ceremony happens physically on campus. Wearing the traditional gown at the university is something I am very excited about.
Examinations
Exams are conducted online and are proctor-based. This means a live invigilator monitors you via your camera for the two-hour duration. If you study your books for even an hour a day, the exams are manageable (easy to moderate).
Pros and Cons: Summary Table
| Pros | Cons |
| Strong Brand Name & Reputation | LMS can feel technical/difficult at first |
| Physical Study Kits delivered to your door | Possible delays in book delivery (though improved) |
| High flexibility for working professionals | Video lectures might not suit everyone |
| Unique “Offline Touch” (Campus visits/PCP) | Placement assistance requires self-effort |
| AI Professor for instant doubt solving |
The Placement Question: Have I Got Placed?
Amity provides 100% Placement Assistance. They host weekly virtual job fairs and post vacancies on the Amigo portal.
My Reality:
To be honest, I am not currently looking for placement. Why?
-
I already run an online Digital Marketing business.
-
I am a Graphic Designer.
-
I manage my YouTube channel.
-
I am pursuing my MBA simultaneously.
Because I am already a working professional, I haven’t applied for the roles popping up.
A Word of Advice on Placements:
Don’t depend 100% on any university. While Amity offers great opportunities, you must also put in your own effort on platforms like LinkedIn, Naukri.com, and Indeed. Your skills and how you perform in interviews are what ultimately matter.
Final Thoughts
If you want a brand name, flexibility, and a bit of a campus feel while studying online, Amity is a great choice.
Important Tip: Ensure you enroll through a verified person or counselor who will support you after admission, not just until you pay the fees.
