Zamfara State University (ZAMSU) Admission List 2026/2027 is Out

by ajibolaaina February 25, 2022
written by ajibolaaina

The management of Zamfara State University (ZAMSU), Talata Mafara, has officially released the first batch provisional admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session. This update is for all UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who participated in the university’s recent post-UTME screening exercise.

Admission offers are currently being uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Candidates are advised to monitor their status and complete the necessary acceptance protocols to secure their slot.

How to Check Your ZAMSU Admission Status (2026 Guide)

In 2026, checking your admission status is handled primarily through the JAMB e-Facility portal. Follow these refined steps:

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official JAMB e-Facility Portal.

  2. Login: Enter your registered email address and password used during the 2026 UTME registration.

  3. Check Admission Status: On your dashboard, scroll down and click on the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.

  4. Access My CAPS: Select ‘2026’ as your examination year, enter your JAMB registration number, and click on ‘Access my CAPS’.

  5. Verify Admission: Click on ‘Admission Status’ on the left sidebar to see if you have been offered provisional admission.

Understanding Your Status:

  • Congratulations…: You have been offered admission. Proceed to click ‘ACCEPT’.

  • Admission in Progress: Your admission is currently being processed. Check back within 48–72 hours.

  • Not Admitted: You have not been offered admission yet. Continue to monitor the portal as subsequent batches (2nd and 3rd lists) are released.

Crucial Warning: Do not click “REJECT” unless you are absolutely certain you do not want to attend ZAMSU, as this action is often irreversible and your slot will be immediately reassigned.

Mandatory O’Level Upload Requirement

For the 2026 session, the university has emphasized that candidates who have not uploaded their O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) to the JAMB portal will not be considered for admission. If your status remains “Not Admitted” despite having a high score, visit an accredited JAMB CBT Centre immediately to upload your results.

Next Steps for Admitted Students

Once you have accepted your admission on JAMB CAPS, follow these institutional registration steps:

  1. Print Documents: Print your JAMB Admission Letter and Result Slip from the e-Facility portal.

  2. University Portal Registration: Visit the ZAMSU Student Information System (SIS). Log in with your Admission Number to generate your Acceptance Fee Invoice.

  3. Payment: Pay the non-refundable acceptance fee via Remita.

  4. Physical Screening: Report to the University campus in Talata Mafara with original copies of your credentials (O’Level, Indigene Letter, Birth Certificate) for physical verification.

Students urged to shun calls for protests by DELSU

by ajibolaaina February 23, 2022
written by ajibolaaina

The Delta State University, Abraka wishes to inform all students about the antics of one Oghale Emeka Rex, who is not a student of any Nigerian university, but who is posing as the Deputy Coordinator of NANS Zone B in order to incite a protest at the University as well as at the newly established Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro.

We would like to express our appreciation to students for their refusal to participate in such protests and to notify you all that the sole recognized organization representing you, the Students Union Government (SLG), is already in discussions with management. As a result, whatever issue(s) arises or is encountered will be dealt with and addressed in a civilized manner.

Our students at DELSU have recently chosen the road of peaceful discussion and constructive participation in the resolution of conflicts, and we are pleased to announce that this is the case. Please do not stray from your course.

Management informs all students that the fee adjustment will only apply to new students, and that existing students will continue to pay their current rates as before.

As a result, the adjustment should be viewed as a reflection of the signs of the times rather than as something to which we all must adapt. You may be certain that we are all in this together, and that we have your best interests in mind.

In order to demonstrate Management’s good faith, we have taken the following steps:

  • Work-study opportunities have been expanded by the administration to allow more students to earn money to help pay for their educational expenses.
  • More than half of those who participate in the work-study program will be first-year students, who will be the ones who would be affected by the cost increase.
  • The Oleh Campus has now been included to the work study program’s reach. There will be no change to the payment of school fees in two payments, which will allow it to be paid in two semesters.
  • An investigation is underway into why some faculties charge different amounts for school fees than others.

As part of this process, management is meeting with the SUG to discuss and address any concerns that may still be pending.

Student disassociation from the antics of protest organizers is commended by DELSU administration, which encourages students to proceed with the enrollment of their courses.
