UNILAG DLI Matriculation Ceremony 2021/2022 Have Been Announced

This is to alert all new Distance Learning Institute, DLI, students at the University of Lagos, UNILAG, that the school’s administration has announced the 2021/2022 academic session’s matriculation date.

Matriculation will take place as follows:

Date: Thursday, February 3, 2022

Venue: Nurudeen Alao Auditorium

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Please keep in mind that matriculation is compulsory for all newly registered students.

The matriculation ceremony will be a hybrid (physical and virtual) one as follows:-

Physical Attendance – Physical attendance is available to the first 250 duly registered students.

Virtual Attendance — Students who have been properly registered but are unable to attend physically may join via Zoom by providing the following information:-

Matriculation gowns will be available for pickup at the DLI Records Office beginning Wednesday, January 26, 2022, upon presentation of proof of payment of all applicable fees.

Gown Collection

Gowns must be collected by Tuesday, 1st February 2022.

Wednesday, 9th February 2022, is the deadline for returning the Gowns.

NB: Failure to return the gown by the specified date will result in a severe penalty.

Please remember that all matriculating students must enter the Auditorium wearing their matriculation robes and be seated by 9:30am, or the gates will be locked. Kindly comply.

The results of the UNN Post-UTME Screening for the 2021/2022 session are now available. All prospective students of the University of Nigeria Nsukka who participated in the screening exercise are asked to check their screening results online using the link provided below. Refer to the technique below;

The result checker platform is available only after a N1,000 payment is made at any designated bank or via your ATM Card on the Remita platform.

UNN Post-UTME screening results for the session 2021/2022

Please follow the steps outlined below to verify your results:

  1. Visit the UNN Website at www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng
  2. Select Prospective Students from the drop-down menu.
  3. Chek Post-UTME Result by clicking on it.
  4. Enter the JAMB Registration Number that was assigned to you.
  5. Continue by creating an invoice that includes your RRR Number.
  6. Pay with your ATM Card or take your printout to any bank.
  7. Reconnect with the Portal.
  8. Enter your Registration Identification Number.

You will be able to access your result.

The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has revealed the results of the post-UTME screening exercise for the academic year 2021/2022. All applicants who took part in the exercise are now able to view their findings online.

How to Check the Result of FUTA’s Post-UTME Screening

  1. To access the FUTA Post-UTME Screening Result Portal, please visit https://www.futa.edu.ng/screeningapp/welcome/putmeappindex/ checkresult.
  2. In the required column, enter your UTME registration number.
  3. To get your FUTA Post UTME scores, click ‘Submit’.

FutMinna releases CBT exam results 2022

58 First Class students graduate from FUT Minna

The Federal University of Technology Minna has announced that 58 of the institution’s 3,892 graduating students earned First Class degrees.

Prof. Abdullahi Bala, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, stated this at a news conference in Minna on Wednesday to commemorate the university’s 38th Founders’ Day and 30th Convocation, adding that 948 additional students will graduate with Second Class Upper Division degrees.

Additionally, he stated that 2,047 students will graduate with a Second Class Lower Division, 801 with a Third Class, and 38 with a Pass degree.

“Of those graduating with First Degrees, 58 earned First Class, while 948 earned Second Class Upper Division,” he explained. There are 2,047 students enrolled in the Second Class Lower Division, 801 in the Third Class, and 38 graduating with Pass degrees.”

He stated that 270 students from 200 to 500 levels who are First Class will receive partial scholarships, while ten winners of gold, silver, and bronze medals at various national and international competitions will receive various cash prizes to motivate and recognize them for future outstanding performances.

Bala also revealed that Honorary Doctorate degrees will be conferred on a former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Chairman of the BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, and Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd, Malam Mele Kolo Kyari.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, 200 students will receive Postgraduate Diplomas, 836 will receive Masters degrees, and 121 will receive Doctorate degrees.

Bala said, “the newest ranking of Nigerian public institutions by the National Universities Commission places FUT Minna in the first position with a score of 97.57 in terms of efficiency, that is, the rate of retention and graduation of students.”

The UNN Post-UTME Result for the 2021/2022 Session is Now Available [How to Check]

This is to inform all candidates who took part in the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Post-UTME Screening Test for the academic year 2021/2022 that the results have been announced.

Candidates must however pay the sum of  N1,000 to access their results. Results are being made accessible in batches!

Candidates must pay a fee of 1,000 in order to access the results. This payment may be made at any bank in Nigeria,  and must be made via Remita.

The results of the UNN Post UTME examination are being released in batches. As a result, we recommend that candidates check their screening results 24–48 hours following the assessment. Do not fear if yours has not yet been released! It will be released soon!

How to Check the University of Nigeria’s Post-UTME Result

  • Visit https://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/CheckPostUTMEResults.aspx for further information.
  • In the space provided, enter your JAMB registration number and click SUBMIT.
  • To produce an invoice, click Proceed.
  • Type your email address and phone number in the fields provided. After that, click SUBMIT.
  • Take a printout of the invoice and bring it to the bank or PAY WITH AN ATM CARD.
  • Re-visit the result checking portal (link above) after payment and input your JAMB Registration Number. Your outcome will be shown.

C. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND DURATION:

• 4-YEAR DEGREE SANDWICH PROGRAMME

Candidates seeking for admission into the 4-year degree programme must possess:

1. a minimum of Merit in NCE in the relevant area from a recognized higher institution in Nigeria, in addition to a minimum of five (5) credit level passes at the o’level, including Mathematics and English Language; or its equivalent at not more than two sittings; or

2. any National Diploma in a recognized higher institution, in addition to the above mentioned o’level requirements in (1) above.

5-YEAR DEGREE SANDWICH PROGRAMME

Candidates seeking for admission into the 5-year degree programme must possess the following:

1. Pass in NCE, and a minimum of five (5) credits o’level Passes or its equivalent at not more than two sittings; or

2. Five (5) credit passes at the SSCE o’level at not more than two (2) sittings which must include Mathematics and English or both; as required by the respective programmes, or its equivalent.

D. METHOD OF APPLICATION

All candidates who wish to apply for the Programmes listed above should do so through JAMB (state office) and make the University of Nigeria, Nsukka their first choice institution. This is to enable JAMB capture details of the candidates, assign their registration numbers and make them available in JAMB CAPS for the University to be able to download their lists.

After the JAMB registration, the candidate returns to the University of Nigeria portal/website and generate the “Sandwich Registration Invoice” and proceed to any Commercial Bank and pay the processing fee of N5,000.00 (five thousand naira only) for the 4-year programme and N10,000.00 (ten thousand naira only) for the 5-year programme, respectively. The processing fee is payable to the University’s Account via the Remitta platform.

After the payment, the candidate returns to the University of Nigeria portal and click on Sandwich Registration and complete the Verification Form on-line; and thereafter prints out the completed Registration Form and submits it with academic credentials to the Sandwich and Evening Programmes Unit Office of the Registry Department.

Please note that candidates that apply for the 5-Year Degree Programme will be required to write an aptitude test in the University.

JAMB to return N4,000 to students who could not meet up with the 2021 registration

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced that it will refund N4,000 to candidates who did not complete their UTME registration by the deadline.
 
This was disclosed in the board’s weekly newsletter.
 
 
In part, the bulletin reads:

 

“This is to notify all 2021 candidates who had deposited a draft of four thousand naira (N4,000) for late registration for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry but were unable to complete the registration process owing to no fault of the Board, even after the Board had extended the registration period twice, to visit the Board’s Website https://www.jamb.gov.ng, and complete a form for the refund of the value of the draft they submitted to the Board.

“The above candidates are to click on the link 2021 UTME/DE Unregistered Candidates Bank Draft Recapture and fill the spaces after which they would key in the token sent to the phone numbers they had submitted during the submission of their drafts.

“It is this token that would be used to access a form on which they will fill in their account details for the refund of the value of the draft. Candidates are to provide these details within the next two weeks from the date of this publication.

“A text message containing OTP (one-time-password) has been sent to the affected candidates besides this notification.”

Candidates are thereby urged to follow the procedure outlined above to get a refund.

This is to alert candidates who have chosen the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) as their first choice and have registered online as required that the Post UTME Screening Exercise has been planned for Wednesday, January 26th to Friday, January 28th, 2022.

FUTA Post Utme Slip

FUTA has begun printing the schedule for the 2021/2022 Post-UTME screening. The reprinted sheet will include the date, time, and location of the Screening Exercise.

How to Obtain a Reprint of the FUTA Post Utme Slip

Each candidate must:

  1. Visit https://www.futa.edu.ng/screeningapp/welcome/putmeappindex for more information.
  2. Enter UTME Identification Number
  3. To reprint, click on the reprint. Examiner’s slip
  4. The reprinted sheet will include the date, time, and location of the Screening Exercise.

Excerpts from a special FUTA Radio programme on the Post-UTME Screening Exercise

Candidates should report to the screening centers at the times specified. Candidates have been batched and assigned a specific screening day and time.

Candidates should bring a non-scientific calculator and pencil to the Screening Centre. Phones and other electronic devices are not permitted. FUTA will supply candidates with a basic sheet at the venue.

FUTA’s technical personnel will be available at all Centers.

During the Screening, candidates are not permitted to talk or communicate with other candidates. All enquiries and questions should be directed to the technical staff that is available.

Candidates who are detected doing any type of misconduct shall be rejected.

Candidates should click the submit button only at the conclusion of the screening process, when they are certain the test is complete.

Candidates will receive their results within 24 hours after the test’s conclusion.

Please Take Notice:

Computer-based examination will be used for screening. Candidates interested in gaining an understanding of the CBT Practice Module should visit the FUTA WEBSITE. It is mandatory, but necessary!

The FUTA screening exercise will take place at the FUTA Digital Resource Center on the “Obanla Campus” of the Federal University of Technology in Akure.

Candidates are NOT permitted to bring cell phones, iPads, Walkmans, wrist watches, or any other electronic device or extraneous material into the screening hall.

Any UTME candidate who does not appear for the Computer-Based Screening Exercise will be disqualified from consideration for admission by the University.

Candidates must ensure that they report to their screening centers on the dates and times specified.

All applicants should bring their NOSE MASKS to the screening exercise locations, as COVID-19 Safety Protocols will be rigorously MAINTAINED and ENFORCED.

REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR FRESH STUDENTS – 2021/2022 SESSION

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. Registration process is completely online

2. Contact your course level Adviser for inquiries on courses

3. Login again to the portal after registration to confirm approval of registered

courses

4. You can only Register for Courses after Successful Payment of Fees

5. Check with your Department on how to proceed to Lectures

6. Visit your Department / University website www.ui.edu.ng for additional

information from time to time

7. Course Registration (including all fee payments, correction on courses

registered etc.) ends on February 21,2022

8. Two weeks of Extension thereafter attracts late registration fee of N10,
