Admission Form for the 2026/2027 Session: College of Nursing Sciences, NAUTH

The management of the College of Nursing Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, hereby informs the general public and interested candidates that the sale of admission forms for the 2026/2027 academic session has officially commenced.

Aspiring nurses are encouraged to apply early to secure their chance in this prestigious program.

Important Dates & Details

  • Sales Commencement: February 15, 2026.

  • Application Deadline: Usually 10–12 weeks after the start date (check the portal for the exact closing date).

  • Entrance Examination: Tentatively scheduled for July 2026 (exact date to be communicated via the application slip).

  • Application Fee: ₦10,200 (Ten Thousand Two Hundred Naira only).

Application Process (2026 Update)

The application process is now a hybrid of online registration and physical documentation. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Generate Remita: Visit the Remita website or any commercial bank to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital.

  2. Make Payment: Pay the fee of ₦10,200 at any commercial bank or via online banking using the generated RRR.

  3. Online Registration: After payment, visit the official NAUTH Nursing Portal to create an account and fill out the application form.

  4. Exchange Receipt: Take your bank teller/printout to the Hospital Account Department at NAUTH, Nnewi, to exchange it for an official hospital receipt.

  5. Documentation: Attach one recent passport photograph to the original receipt and make a photocopy.

  6. Submission: Submit the completed online application slip, photocopies of your credentials (O’Level results), and the hospital receipt to the College of Nursing Sciences, NAUTH.

Note: Ensure you provide a valid email address and phone number during registration, as these will be used for all subsequent communications regarding the entrance exam.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. O’Level Credits: A minimum of five (5) credits in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings. Required subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

  2. Application Letter: A formal, handwritten application letter addressed to the Principal, College of Nursing Sciences, NAUTH.

  3. Photographs: Four (4) recent passport-sized photographs on a white background.

  4. Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of application.

Governor Umahi dismisses the Ebonyi college of education’s management

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi ordered the dismissal of the management of the Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo, on Wednesday, February 9, two weeks after the institution’s Rector and Bursar were suspended for illegal recruitment.

The governor made the statement during the weekly Executive Meeting of the state in Abakaliki, following the presentation of the panel’s report on the recruitment fraud.

According to a statement attributed to the governor, the state executive approved the dismissal of the entire management of Ikwo College of Education on Feb. 9, 2022. Management is to immediately turn over to the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Education.

The statement reads partly:

“A committee made up of the Deputy Governor, Dr Kelechi Igwe, SSA on Religious and Welfare Matters, Rev. Fr. Abraham Nwali, and the Commissioner for Education, Dr Zyl Nwangele, is to recommend to the Executive, persons that may be appointed to manage the college for a period of 30 days.

“Advertisement shall be made for those that will run the management of the college within this period “All casual workers are hereby laid off. All employments created from 2019 are cancelled’’

OYSCATECH excludes management students from participating in SIWES

This is to advise all ND1 students in the Faculty of Management of the Oyo State College of Agriculture that they have been precluded from participating in SIWES.

As a result, the concerned students will not be required to pay the SIWES charge.

The following departments are affected:

Public Administration, Business Administration and Management, Accountancy, Office Technology and Management, Library and Information Science, and Public Administration.

OYSCATECH excludes management students from participating in SIWES 

All NDI Management students are expected to adhere to the information provided above.

This is to remind all Undergraduate Students of the College of Education, Gidan Waya, Kaduna to report to the Undergraduate Block for Audit/Bursary Clearance prior to collecting their examination cards for the semester.

Venue: Room 6 of the Undergraduate Block

Dates: February 8th and 11th, 2022

Time: 10 a.m., seven days a week

Note:

Students are required to bring all of their documentation proving they have paid their tuition fees in order to be cleared.

Students in Bauchi express dissatisfaction with the state government over the late payment of bursaries.

Students from Bauchi State who are members of the Air Marshal Abubakar Sadiq Students Forum (AMASS FORUM) have expressed their dissatisfaction with the state governor, Bala Mohammed, over the late delivery of bursaries to students in tertiary institutions.

In a statement to news outlets in Bauchi on Monday, Feb. 6, the forum’s chairman, Aliyu Hussaini, expressed concern about the numerous problems that students in Bauchi state are experiencing and stated that the forum is working on developing solutions to these issues, having begun to engage experts in various sections.

Hussaini stated that they were particularly concerned about the sponsorship of 200 students at Malikiyya College of Health, which had been offered by the previous administration but had been terminated by the current administration, as well as the segregation of Higher Islamic students from other tertiary institutions in the awarding of local scholarships, among other things.

They accused the governor of being hypocritical and only making the payment since elections were coming because the bursary had not been paid in the previous four years. They went on to say that they were looking for a replacement for the governor who was competent, disciplined, and had a wealth of administrative expertise.

NUC approves Shariah degree for BUK, 11 other programmes for COE Minna and COE Kano

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved a Shariah degree for BUK and approved 11 other programmes for two tertiary institutions, according to a newly released list.

The National University Commission (NUC) has recently approved Bayero University in Kano (BUK) to offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Shariah.

The university commission also approved 11 affiliate programs at the Federal College of Education in Kano and the College of Education in Minna, which were approved by the university commission.

According to a bulletin provided by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, the new permissions were granted on July 1. (JAMB)

According to the National Universities Commission (NUC), Bayero University in Kano would be the first university in Nigeria to offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Shariah (BUK).

This was reported in a bulletin issued on the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) official website on Monday, January 31, according to the announcement.

In Islam, Sharia is a religious law that is a component of one’s religious upbringing.

It is derived from the religious precepts of Islam and is founded on the sacred books of Islam, particularly the Quran and the Hadith, which are considered to be the most authoritative sources.

In addition, the bulletin states that the commission has approved 11 affiliate programs for two institutions of education, according to the bulletin.

Three affiliate courses were granted for the Federal College of Education in Kano, which is located in Nigeria.

FCE Pankshin to be converted into a university

In an agreement with the Senate, President Muhammadu Buhari has consented to a bill that aims to transform the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, in Plateau state, into an educational institution known as a University of Education.

Governor of Plateau state, Solomon Lalong, expressed his gratitude to President Obama for signing the law in a statement made on Thursday, February 3.

His remarks were followed by a statement saying the new legislation affirms the state’s status as a hub of learning in the North Central region, and indeed the entire nation.

The governor also expressed his hope that the establishment of the University would help to alleviate the country’s chronic shortage of highly qualified instructors and so help to reduce poverty.

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed a bill seeking to elevate the Federal College of Education in Pankshin, Plateau state, to the status of a university of education. Rt. Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, Member of Parliament for Pankshin, Kanam, Kanke Federal Constituency, sponsored the bill.

In a statement published on Thursday, February 3, Plateau state governor Solomon Lalung praised the President for approving the bill, saying it reaffirms the state’s position as a hub of learning in the North Central, and indeed the entire country.

Additionally, the governor expressed hope that the establishment of the University would help address the country’s scarcity of well-trained instructors.

COE Akwanga opens NABTEB O’Level Examination Centre.

This is to advise all students and members of the College community that the College now has a NABTEB O’Level Examination Centre.

As a result, students who have O’Level inadequacies are urged to register with the Centre in order to correct their deficiencies.

COE Akwanga currently has a NABTEB O'Level Examination Centre.

Likewise, registration for the March/April 2022 examination is currently open. Interested candidates should contact the Pre-NCE Program’s Director for additional information.
