MOUAU Admission List 2026/2027: How to Check Status and Complete Registration

The management of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) has officially released the primary admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session. This list includes candidates for both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) who chose MOUAU as their first choice and participated in the university’s post-UTME screening.

Admission offers are being uploaded in batches to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Candidates are advised to follow the updated 2026 guidelines below to secure their admission.

Step 1: Checking Your Status on JAMB CAPS

In 2026, JAMB remains the primary authority for admission offers. Follow these steps to verify your status:

1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official JAMB e-Facility Portal.

2. Login: Enter your registered email address and password from your 2026 UTME registration.

3. Check Admission Status: Click on the “Check Admission Status” tab.

4. Access My CAPS: Select “2026” as your exam year, enter your JAMB Registration Number, and click “Access my CAPS”.

5. Verify Admission: Click on “Admission Status” on the left sidebar.

Understanding the Outcome:

• Congratulations: You have an offer. Click “ACCEPT”. (Do not click “REJECT” unless you are sure you don’t want the course).

• Admission in Progress: Check back in a few days as the system updates.

• Not Admitted: Ensure your O’Level results have been uploaded to a JAMB-approved CBT center; otherwise, your name will not appear.

Step 2: Institutional Registration and Fees (2026)

Once you accept your offer on CAPS, you must complete the university’s internal registration to finalize your enrollment.

1. Print Admission Letters

• Print your JAMB Admission Letter from the JAMB portal.

• Visit the MOUAU Portal and print your internal MOUAU Admission Letter and Pledge Form.

2. Pay the Development Levy

For the 2026 session, the mandatory Development Levy for fresh students is ₦80,000.

• Log in to the MOUAU portal with your JAMB registration number.

• Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and pay online or at any commercial bank.

• Important: You must “Validate” your payment on the portal before moving to the next step.

3. Departmental Clearance

Proceed to your respective department with your academic credentials for physical verification. Once cleared, you must upload your Departmental Clearance Form back onto the university portal.

4. School Charges & Registration

• Generate an RRR for school charges (typically around ₦93,000 – ₦100,000 depending on the college).

• Complete your bio-data, obtain your SUG Card, and perform your Course Registration online.

Key Deadlines for 2026/2027

• Registration Commences: October 5, 2026.

• Lectures Begin: October 13, 2026.

• Late Registration Window: October 13 – October 17, 2026 (Attracts an extra fee).

• Matriculation Ceremony: Friday, December 12, 2026.
